First Grade

Age Limit:

Five to six years old.

Eligibility:

No basic qualification is required.

Purpose:

By the end of this level learning of vowels, consonants, some stories, songs and about a hundred simple Tamil words.

Language Ability:

• Knowing, writing, recognizing vowels and consonants.

• Fruits, pets, vegetables, wild animals, birds, vehicles, farm animals, colors, days of the week.

• Practicing names of numbers, tastes, flowers.

• Songs, stories, Aathichoodi, looking at pictures and saying its names.

• Practice pronouncing simple words and sentences.

• Simple method writing practice.
